Digital Foundry has confirmed the problems with the licensed copy of Resident Evil Village – Igromania

Enthusiasts after hacking Resident evil village found that a pirated copy of the horror works better than a licensed one – now this has been confirmed by experts Digital foundry

After removing the protection, both performance problems were gone – microfreezes when killing enemies and a decrease in frame rate when Lady Dimitrescu’s daughters appeared in the frame. According to DF, the developers should apologize to the audience and urgently fix the problems in the licensed copy.

The game uses two DRMs – Capcom Anti-Tamper v3 and Denuvo v11. Although there is an opinion that during the hack, fans could accidentally remove some graphic effects or animations from their daughters – thus the performance increased.
