At the age of 71, the legendary musician, poet and actor died in Moscow Peter Mamonov… This was officially announced by his wife Olga.
At the end of June, Mamonov contracted the coronavirus. He was taken in serious condition to the infectious diseases hospital in Kommunarka, after which he was put into a drug-induced coma. Doctors fought for the artist’s life for more than two weeks, but COVID-19 prevailed.
Petr Mamonov stood out noticeably against the background of other representatives of Russian rock. Performances of his group “Sounds of Mu“resembled a kind of performances, and the musician himself played the role of a holy fool.
Petr Mamontov also made a mark in the cinema. The audience especially remembered his roles in films “Needle“,”Island“,”Taxi blues“and “King“(the actor played in the tape Tsar Ivan the Terrible).
