Already March 5th studio Dice will release a patch that will make changes to the balance of weapons in Battlefield v. It is about the next change in the TTK parameter (time to kill).
The first attempt to radically change the balance was made at the end of 2018, and fans of the series took it in hostility. The fact is that the developers decided to make changes suddenly and without consulting the players, referring to statistics. As a result, the hashtag #notmyTTK and the campaign to boycott the shooter were launched, and DICE in a hurry had to roll back the changes.
After this incident, Battlefield multiplayer producer David sirland promised that this would not happen again. However, at the end of 2019, he quit (officially announced in January 2023), after which DICE tried again to fix the TTK. This time, the developers said that they want to reduce the distance of fights, which sounds absurd, given the size of the cards in BFV.
As a result, in update 6.2, DICE again makes concessions to players, but not to the end. Developers still want SMG and other melee weapons to be effective at a distance of no more than 30 meters.
In addition, the update will allow players to customize skins for tanks.
