Windows Central reported yesterday that IOI and Microsoft are working on an RPG codenamed Project dragon with an interconnected world, the events of which will unfold in a completely new universe.
Eurogamer’s own sources confirmed this information, adding that the game is on the scale of an AAA title with a large medieval world and dragon varieties. According to them, the project will be released under the label Xbox Game Studios, but development is currently at an early stage, so the release will take place no sooner than in a few years.
In March, IO Interactive openly announced that in addition to supporting Hitman 3 and the James Bond project, it was actively working on a new IP. The studio did not go into details, noting only that the new universe is the fruit of the love of the development team and is different from anything they have done before.
At the same time, IOI opened a third development office in Barcelona, and an insider Klobrille hinted that this event is directly related to the Xbox and is the beginning of something ambitious. In turn, Grubb advised caring fans of the American corporation to closely monitor the activities of the IO Interactive team.
