Company Ubisoft handed over the development of a remake of an action adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time another, “more experienced team”. Reported by youtuber Blakwoodz, referring to a friend from Ubisoft India
In his video, to which access is already limited, Blakwoodz stated that the original creation of the updated Sands of Time was entrusted to an amateur team, but it could not cope with the obligations assigned to it. After a negative reaction to the debut trailer, Ubisoft allegedly gave the project to another, more experienced team, so that it, in turn, could improve and “remake the remake”… It is not yet known which particular unit is in question.
Blakwoodz clarified that he has no idea if this is true or not, and simply voiced the information that his friend gave him.
Ubisoft postponed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake release earlier this month indefinitely… In an open appeal to fans, the company said the delay would allow the creators to give the remake a “fresh” feel while retaining the spirit of the original.
