The authors note that after installing the update, players may notice a decrease in performance and frame rate. Also, the anti-cheating system will slow down the initial launch of the game.
So far, the developers have disabled the automatic blocking function in order to configure it as accurately as possible, but until September 10, the system will be allowed to automatically block players without manual checks.
The BattlEye driver only works while Destiny is running. Also, the system can block incompatible software and prevent the game from starting while such software is running. If such software is noticed after launching Destiny, the system may temporarily kick the player out of the game.
Bungie noted that they are fighting against cheaters outside the game. The developers recalled the prosecution of cheat creators, as well as the fight against match-fixing.
In addition, the authors do not recommend transferring the account or control of their characters to other people. Now, the purchase or sale of services involving the transfer of an account may lead to its blocking.
