Resource Wctctech reported that the tenth generation of Intel desktop processors, code-named Comet Lake-S, will enter the market on May 27.
On the same day, sales of motherboards based on Intel 400 series logic will start. These solutions will support the socket. LGA 1200. However, it is possible that the announcement will take place on April 30 along with processors.
At the same time, the embargo until mid-April will allow journalists to test new items and make up their minds about them before the actual appearance of chips on sale.
Note that Comet Lake-S will be the fourth processor based on the Skylake architecture. They, like earlier models, will be made using 14-nanometer technology and will be able to withstand the Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 4000 lines. The older model will be the ten-core Core i9-10900K with a frequency of up to 5.3 GHz.
