Deficiency of next generation game consoles Playstation 5, Xbox series x and Xbox series s, as well as graphic accelerators of the line NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 remains one of the most discussed issues in the gaming industry. And it seems that in the near future it will not lose its relevance.

At a recent meeting with investors, the head of the company Intel Pat Gelsinger noted that problems on the production lines of electronics continue to persist, and this affects a wide variety of segments of the computer industry and the entertainment segment in particular. According to the estimates of the top manager, the shortage of chips and semiconductors may drag on until 2023

“Despite the fact that I expect the deficit to decrease by the second half [текущего] years, we will need at least another year or two before the industry can meet all the accumulated demand, “- explained Pat Gelsinger.

Gelsinger is not alone in his assessments. For example, Sony’s management admits that it will be very difficult to find a PlayStation 5 console on the free market in the foreseeable future.
