Dead Space Remake Will Use Continuous Frame Technique As In God Of War

Remake Creative Director Dead space announced that the upcoming game will use a continuous frame method similar to the one Sony Santa Monica used in God of war for PlayStation 4.

In an interview posted on EA’s official website, Roman Campos-Oriola reiterated that the Dead Space remake is being completely rebuilt using the Frostbite engine. All assets are built from the ground up, and the power of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S SSDs will ensure a seamless experience from start to finish

“Our intent is to offer a completely seamless experience. It will be a continuous sequence of frames, from the start screen to the end credits, without stopping.”

In the same article, the art director of the project Mike Yazigian reported that the EA Motive team plans to get rid of some of the things that didn’t work in the original and make sure that the game remains relevant to modern audiences

“We have the concept art, the visual reference, the source material, notes from our discussions with Visceral and the knowledge they gained — it’s all with us. It’ll all go into play.”

The updated Dead Space is being created for Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The release is rumored to take place in October 2023.
