Dead Space 2 Art Director Mike Yazijian Joins Dead Space Remake Development Team

Studio representatives EA Motive confirmed that to work on the recently announced full-fledged remake Dead space veterans of the series were involved, who worked in the now disbanded team Visceral Games… One of them was Mike Yazidjian – senior art director of the original Dead space 2

The involvement of Yazijian in the Dead Space remake was announced on the official Electronic Arts blog. The note mentions that the artist found his old working materials, and is now going to use a number of past developments from the sequel in the production of a remake.

However, the influence of artistic images from Dead Space 2 should not completely deprive the remake of Dead Space of its own unique identity – EA Motive is looking for an opportunity to convey the atmosphere of the original project, along the way supplementing it with new details and solutions. In particular, the developers plan to implement ideas and content in the game that were not included in the 2008 release.

Recall that the Dead Space remake is being created entirely from scratch on the foundation of the Frostbite engine. The project is preparing to enter Playstation 5, Xbox series x and Xbox series s, as well as PC, and does not even have an approximate release date yet.
