In February of this year, hackers hacked into servers CD Projekt and demanded a ransom. Attackers allegedly managed to download source codes Cyberpunk 2077, “The Witcher 3” and an unreleased version of The Witcher3 with ray tracing, as well as access to various company documents.
The stolen assets were later put up for auction. The starting price was $ 1 million and the no-bid buyout price was $ 7 million. However, sellers received an offer outside the auction, which satisfied them, therefore, the item was withdrawn from sale.
Now, as reported by DataBreaches, those same assets are on the web. The archives are rumored to be password protected, which can be purchased for $ 10,000 each.
At the same time, it is noted that the archives contain not only the source codes of the CD Projekt games, but also the SDK of the consoles. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendoincluding PS4, PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X. The SDK archives are supposedly distributed without passwords.
The attackers note that the internal documents of CD Projekt were sent to the media, but they will not distribute them publicly.
