Studio Crytek published the final trailer of the remaster Crysis… The updated version of the cult shooter is already available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, however, the console ports at launch were not of the best quality, to put it mildly…
The version for Xbox one x… Users who have already downloaded the remaster report that the game is now in an almost unplayable state on Microsoft’s current flagship console… Problems come out in modes “Quality“and”Ray tracing“and become even more aggravated with the HDR… In particular, we are talking about the image literally crumbling into parts, broken shadows when they crawl across the screen along with the movement of the camera, and incorrect work of reflections, due to which objects located in front of the water in the distance shade and simultaneously reflect each other.
“It’s not that Crysis: Remastered is slow, looks bad, or is buggy; it’s completely unplayable even at standard quality-prioritized settings. Quite frankly, Crysis: Remastered is possibly the most broken game I’ve played this generation.” – reported in the review Forbes…
IN Digital foundry note that the version for PlayStation 4 Pro works better overall, but has the same problem as on Switch… The frame rate limiter is set to 31 FPS, which is why the frame rate is stable, but the image jerks at times.
The only option for Xbox One X owners now to somehow play Crysis: Remastered is to set the “Performance” mode and disable HDR. The developers have already identified a problem – it is related to the graphics settings in the release build. A patch is currently being prepared, scheduled for release early next week.…
