Even if the largest European gaming exhibition Gamescom this year will not take place in the usual format, gamers will still not be left without announcements of new projects. This was announced today, March 31, by the organizers of the event.
A document distributed through media channels noted that since the situation with coronavirus continues to deteriorate, it is currently impossible to accurately predict whether the traditional Gamescom 2023 will succeed in August. The organizing committee closely monitors the situation and consults with the authorities. The final decision on the physical Gamescom 2023 will be made in May.

At the same time, no matter what fate befalls a regular exhibition, a digital ceremony awaits players Gamescom: Opening Night Live, the leader of which, as well as last year, will be the producer The Game Awards Jeff Cayley. On August 24, users will be able to watch shows with announcements from various publishers. Details will be released later.
The coronavirus pandemic has hit the entire entertainment industry. Exhibitions are canceled, movie theaters are closed, games are postponed.
