Coronavirus vs. Geeks: Comic-Con San Diego Canceled for the First Time in 50 Years

Organizers San diego comic-con canceled the event for the first time in its fifty-year history. This year it will not take place, but will return in 2023 and will be held from July 22 to July 25.

Due to recent medical advice regarding protection against COVID-19 and the statements made by the governor of California to the organizers, it became clear that it was not safe to stick to preplanned plans this year. Participants and guests of the exhibition who have already purchased tickets will be able to transfer them to 2023 or issue a refund.

Similarly event WonderCon Anaheim, which was supposed to be held from April 10 to 12, will return only next year and will be held from March 26 to 28.
