The film director himself reacted to this story. David F. Sandberg, noting that such situations often change without becoming to confirm or deny information from the media.
According to the director, in the middle of filming the first tape, the team was sure that the film would appear Henry Cavill – but in the end I had to limit myself to just Superman’s cameo with the help of a stunt double. Finally, Sandberg joked that the only thing he is 90% sure about is the appearance of Shazam himself in the sequel.
Previously, the media reported that Cavill was supposed to have a cameo in one of the upcoming DC films, but which one is unknown. And it is still unclear when the actor will be able to return to the image of Clark Kent, if at all. Cavill himself said last May that he was not going to leave the role.
