Chris Avellone was accused of harassment, and he apologized to the wrong girl

In a series of tweets, Carissa said that during one of the game events in 2013, she got drunk with Avellone so that her friends needed help to get to the room. Chris stayed with her and the next day admitted that he was harassing, but she refused him sex. In her opinion, this happened solely because she had her period on that day.

Subsequently, she repeatedly noticed how Avellone was sucking on young girls (Carissa herself was then under 30). With her, he behaved like a gentleman and even accompanied him home after drinking. But he subjected one of her friends to emotional violence for a whole year and even threw one in a restaurant.

After that, Karissa went to the organizers of a game convention and told everything. They admitted that they had heard about this before and now have blacklisted it. In 2015, according to Carissa, it was precisely because of this behavior that Avellone was fired from Obsidian.

Chris Avellone is a narcissistic, rude, insidious sexual predator. He was offered help. He refused and continued in the same vein. Stop praising him.

Avellone himself did not respond to Clarissa, and left his post on Twitter community manager the company Rooster teeth: The girl posted a tweet to Carissa. He admitted that he should have behaved better, and apologized.

According to Emily Grace Buck, a former storytelling designer at TelltaleAvellone no longer works on The Waylanders, but it is more likely to be connected with the completion of the project. Whether the revelations of Carissa will affect his future career is unknown.

Chris is no longer on the project, and I’ve been the lead writer all along, not him.

Waylanders has very little writing by him as it stands, and I’ll be taking a look at his scenes.

Chris is no longer involved in the project, and all this time I was the lead screenwriter, not him. In the current version of Waylanders, there is very little that was written by him, and I will watch his scenes.
