In some regions, it is now possible to download the companion app Abandoned, although the official release date is July 29th.
The lucky ones who managed to do this report that the size of the application on PSN is about 1.3 GB. After launching the program, the Blue Box Game Studios logo appears, followed by a menu with a choice of language, including Russian.
The developers warn that the application does not contain game content and is intended to showcase upcoming trailers.
“All content is rendered 3D images and therefore is not high quality video,” reads the notice.
Unfortunately, no videos have been uploaded to the application at the moment, so the screen says “come back soon”. Blue Box promises to present some kind of “introduction” only on August 10th.
Next month, the developers plan to showcase a full-fledged Abandoned trailer, which will show the game in all its glory: it will allow players to experience the graphics in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, evaluate the support for three-dimensional sound and DualSense capabilities.
Abandoned is slated for release in late 2023. The game is currently a PS5 exclusive.
