Wednesday publisher and developer Red Candle Games statedwhat a horror game Devotion will be re-released on December 18 at GOG.COM, but the owner of a digital platform represented by a Polish company CD Projekt RED just a few hours after the announcement, he changed his mind and decided to block the launch of the game.
“After receiving a lot of messages from players, we decided not to release the game in our store,” reads a post on the official GOG Twitter account.
Earlier today, it was announced that the game Devotion is coming to GOG. After receiving many messages from gamers, we have decided not to list the game in our store.

The first-person horror story is set in the 1980s and takes gamers to an apartment building in Taiwan. When creating Devotion, the authors were inspired by East Asian folklore.
The game was originally released on the Steam store in February 2019, but a week later Valve I had to remove it from the service library – users found an in-game poster comparing the head of China Xi Jinping and Winnie the pooh… In the Celestial Empire, such comparisons are fraught with very serious consequences.
Amid discontent from the Chinese audience Red Candle Games stated that the unauthorized content entered the game by accident due to a technical problem, but the scandal that erupted led to the fact that Devotion was removed from sale worldwide.
The physical version of Devotion for PC was released in Taiwan earlier this year, but has not left its home region.
