CD Projekt awards: $ 28 million to management, $ 29.8 million to 865 employees – Igromania

The other day we wrote that the past financial year brought good bonuses to the management CD Projekt: Five board members of the company received generous bonuses, ranging from $ 4.2 million to $ 6.5 million.
In the next investigation by Jason Schreier, we are talking about exactly this: due to the fact that the company’s revenues grew by 500%, CD Projekt employees were paid bonuses in the amount of 20% of the profit. At the same time, 10% went to the management, and the same amount was divided into 865 employees.

Taking into account a total bonus fund of $ 29.8 million, the average CD Projekt employee received about $ 34,000. In reality, of course, the amounts were unequal, and the representatives of the lower level call the premiums in the amount of 5-9 thousand. Senior employees were paid 15-20 thousand dollars. The management team received much more generous rewards.

President Adam Kiczynski, who received $ 6.5 million in bonuses but lost $ 250 million on the fall in the company’s shares, explainedthat the company has always spent about 20% of its profits on premiums. And the amount of bonuses has always been tied to income: the higher it is, the more goes to the board members.

We earned this money, and the company earned it, of course, but the more net profit, the more bonuses. So, if we have results, we get bonuses, as the contract says.

Many CD Projekt employees are confident that they could get much more if Cyberpunk 2077 not released half-baked – there would be more sales and fewer returns. However, they admit that the company has recently revised salaries, especially at the lower level, including testers.

Now the salaries of ordinary employees of CD Projekt meet the standards of the gaming industry – which means that this compliance has not been observed for a long time.
