Capcom is on fire: Monster Hunter Stories 2 has sold over 1 million copies

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is Capcom’s third new game in 2023 with over 1 million copies sold… The first two were Monster hunter rise (7,000,000 copies on Nintendo Switch) and Resident evil village (4,500,000 copies available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC).

Based on previously leaked Capcom documentation, Monster Hunter Stories 2 is selling much faster than expected. For the full first year, the company planned to sell 1.3 million copies of the new product, and as a result, sold 1 million in less than two weeks.

The aforementioned documentation also noted that Capcom decided to continue the Monster Hunter Stories JRPG series, looking at the success of developers of Japanese RPGs such as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Octopath Traveler

The first Monster Hunter Stories debuted in 2016 on Nintendo 3DS
