This week Sony announced the purchase of two studios at once – Housemarque, developer of Resogun, Nex Machina, Matterfall and Returnal, and Nixxes Softwarewhich is best known for working on ports of games for PCs and consoles.
Also this week in Japanese Twitter-a PlayStation account got a message stating that Sony has acquired the studio Bluepoint games (remakes of Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls). Soon the tweet was deleted, but it did not look like an error, as it was accompanied by a specially prepared image.
Despite this, Bluepoint Games still emphasized its complete independence. The media drew attention to the fact that messages about the complete independence and financial stability of the studio appeared in its Twitter account and in her job descriptions.
