Head of the publishing department of the company Nacon (former BigBen Interactive) Benoit Clerk confirmed the development of a new part Test drive unlimited. The project is being developed by the French KT Racing, specializing in mid-budget racing games. The studio should be familiar in the last four parts of the rally series. WRC and a recent motorsport simulator TT Isle of Man. Now the developers are preparing to release a sequel.
For the first time about the return Test drive started talking in 2018. The last part of the series at the moment – Test Drive Unlimited – was released nine years ago.
Nacon did not share details about the new part, but one can recall a rumor of two months ago, in which it was said that Test Drive Unlimited 3 will deploy in South America with a fleet of 90 cars at the start. The gameplay will be similar to the previous parts of TDU, but it will increase the emphasis on online, offer the largest amount of real estate and acquire a physics system borrowed from WRC 8At the same time, in terms of graphics, the project promises to take a big step forward.
The note also stated that developers are eager to release Test Drive Unlimited 3 at the end of 2023 on Xbox one, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X, Playstation 5 and PC, and the game supposedly will become an annual exclusive Epic Games Storeand then appears in Steam and on a cloud platform Google stadia.
