Betting on an adult audience and a lot of action: Naoki Yoshida talks about Final Fantasy XVI

Producer Final Fantasy XVI Naoki Yoshida went on the air of the Tokyo radio show One Morning, where, among other things, he spoke briefly about the upcoming role-playing game. Gematsu has translated the key details of the conversation

  • FFXVI is a fairly action oriented game. Much attention will be paid not only to history, but also to battles;
  • The developers are also preparing a special mode for that part of the players who want to focus primarily on the plot;
  • When creating Final Fantasy XVI, the authors largely rely on an adult audience that grew up with the series and knows from personal experience what is good and what is bad.

“I am from the generation that has played the Final Fantasy series since the first game – I am almost 50. I think the Warriors of Light are lucky to develop in their own worlds, so I want to create a Final Fantasy world that will be interesting for those who have already faced good and evil in reality.I believe that as they grow up, everyone goes through certain difficulties, so I want to make the main theme of this game something that can still bring joy to those who grew up playing Final Fantasy and understand the real world. Something in which they can find something for themselves and reflect on it. “

Final Fantasy XVI announced as a starting console exclusive Playstation 5… The project has no release date yet.
