Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting announcements at the Bethesda publishing conference at E3 2019 was GhostWire: Tokyo. Since then, news about the new studio project Tango gameworks, which is associated with gamers primarily with the creator of the Resident Evil series Shinji Mikami and former creative director Ikumi Nakamura, have not been received, but the players are looking forward to the moment when they can hear the details of the upcoming adventure thriller.
And it seems that this moment is just around the corner, as one of the best-known representatives of Bethesda assured that gamers will hear about the game more in a few months.
In the latest episode of the Kinda Funny’s We Have Cool Friends Podcast, Bethesda Senior Vice President of PR and Marketing Pete hines briefly touched GhostWire: Tokyo and confirmed that the game should look at E3 2023. He also noted that Bethesda’s plans do not include refusal to participate in the largest gaming exhibition.
“The game has interesting parallels with DOOM Eternal, which I will talk about with you after we show GhostWire. I’m just curious if you will notice them. After you see the game, I will dwell on this point in more detail. I’m sure we’ll talk about where the connection is between them. “
Of course, most likely, we are talking about a metaphorical connection, rather than a direct correlation between the two games, but it will be even more interesting to watch the presentation of GhostWire: Tokyo.
GhostWire: Tokyo is described as an action adventure movie set in Tokyo. According to the plot, in the Japanese capital, mysterious events begin to occur, as a result of which people disappear in a strange way. The main character will have to figure out what is happening and eliminate the secret enemy, with whom no one had before. The project is based on urban legends and addresses the themes of occultism and spectral abilities. Official slogan: “Do not be afraid of the unknown. Attack.”
The release date of the game and the platform for which it is created are not yet indicated. It is likely that the developers will present specific plans this summer.
