Recently released shooter Doom eternal, as it turned out, is filled with many different easter eggs, in one of which users even saw a hint of a possible continuation Prey from Arkane studios.
If you have already reached the Rock Citadel, you probably could not pass by the rack where Dumgai stores his things, including CDs and a collection of books. Carefully looking at one of the shelves, you can notice a work called “2 Prey or Not 2 Prey“explicitly referring to another sci-fi shooter Bethesda. What exactly does this Easter egg mean is not entirely clear – behind it may be a teaser of Prey 2, as well as a hint of the publisher about the vague future of the franchise. It is possible that in this way the authors decided to recall the sequel to the original authorship game, which was canceled in 2014 Human Head Studios.
Other books on the shelf are also references to various games, including Half-life, Quake, System shock, Fallout, Rage, Deus ex and Spear of destiny.
Arkane Studios is now working on a first-person action movie Deathloop. The game will unfold on the island of lawlessness Black Reef, where gamers will take part in the eternal struggle of two killers with extraordinary abilities.
