Earlier, we said that 15 years after the release, the original Star Wars: Battlefront II continues to receive updates. A patch was released for the game that expanded support for controllers and added scaling of the interface for resolutions of modern monitors.
However, shortly after the patch was released, players started complaining about numerous bugs. Gamers talked about crashes, broken controls and modifications, as well as issues with permissions and multiplayer modes.
In conversation with Eurogamer representatives GOG stated that the changes were provided by the publisher of the game, but after reviewing player feedback and consulting with Lucasfilm Games they decided to roll back the patch. You can already download the update that returns the game to the previous version.
