Atari will open a number of hotels with e-sports and VR-attractions in the USA – review

American company Atari, a developer and publisher of games, has entered into an agreement with GSD Group and True north studio on the creation and opening of a hotel chain. They will be intended primarily for all involved in video games and their fans.

Hotels under the Atari brand will enrich ordinary hotel entertainment with new opportunities: various games, including for virtual reality, as well as VR attractions. A number of hotels will be equipped with modern halls and studios for hosting e-sports events.

Atari hotels should appear in eight American cities. The first of them intend to open this year, the city of Phoenix in Arizona was chosen as the place for it. Other hotels will be built in San Francisco, San Jose, Austin, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas and Seattle.

According to statistics, in 2019 alone, more than 2.5 billion players worldwide spent more than 152 billion US dollars on games, which is 9.6% more than a year ago. According to analysts, gamers seek recognizable intellectual property. And the Atari Hotels chain should become just such a brand familiar to players.
