Annual profit CD Projekt in the first quarter of 2023 fell by 64.7% to $ 8.87 million, while the market expected around $ 22 million.
According to the financial director of the company, Peter Neljubovich, the decrease is due to investments in Cyberpunk 2077 updates and the start of work on the following projects. The studio plans to launch production of two high-budget games next year.

As part of the report, CD Projekt did not disclose the sales of Cyberpunk from January to March – earlier analysts estimated that they were in the region of 500 thousand copies. This is much lower than expectations and against the background of a record start of sales of 16 million copies, to put it mildly, not enough.
