After becoming aware of the situation, Tencent apologized and announced the removal of idol worship from the game.
“We are very sorry that some of the functions in the game offended some of our players. We respect the values, traditions and customs of our players and regret the unpleasant emotions that we caused. We removed the offensive gesture and removed the corresponding visual effects,” Tencent said in a statement .
