Apple machinery factory workers riot in India

Workers in a machinery factory Apple riots broke out in India over the weekend after they accused management of withholding wages.

It is reported that the factory of a Taiwanese manufacturing company Wistronwhere Apple appliances are manufactured (in particular, iPhone), the workers staged a pogrom. Published videos show crowds of people smashing factory windows, burning overturned cars and spraying fire extinguishers.

The riots in Narasapur began with the fact that workers recently had their wages cut (some by about a quarter), and this was immediately discussed at the factory. Some reportedly received only a fraction of the promised salary. Employees demanded payment and met with the HR department. But the discussion turned into robbery. Apparently without receiving the desired response, several employees attacked the office and damaged the office space and furniture.
