HBO decided to hop on a train of Wall Street history adaptations and GameStopby launching a full-length film in development.
This is the seventh project that has recently been created in Hollywood based on the confrontation between the defenders of the gaming chain of stores and representatives of Wall Street. Earlier it became known about three more full-length films, a mini-series and two documentaries.
HBO painting is being produced by Jason Bloom and co-author “Billions” Andrew Ross Sorkin.
The essence of the confrontation, we recall, was that Reddit users began to buy up the shares of GameStop, which was predicted on Wall Street to fall in value and bankruptcy.
As a result, the former “outplayed” the latter, and brokers in response tried to restrict trading in securities. As a result, history even reached the US government.
