In November 1995, almost 25 years ago, the premiere of the full-length anime took place Kokaku kidotai (“Ghost in armor“) Directed by Mamoru Oshii. The film was based on the manga of the same name by Masamune Shiro and eventually became a cult movie.
And now, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the film company Lionsgate prepares a special edition for fans on Blu-ray. For Ghost in the Shell, remastered in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support.
In addition to the film itself, additional materials will be found on the disc. Those interested will be able to include comments from the filmmakers: translator Mary Claypool, producer and screenwriter Eric Calderon, voice actor Richard Epcar (Bato) and others. The publication also includes two documentaries on the creation of Ghost in the Shell.
The jubilee edition will go on sale on September 8th in a regular version or in a stylebook.
