Before Animal Crossing: New Horizons, just three games sold over 30 million copies in a year, and they were all multiplatform.… Battle royale PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS was able to find more than 40 million buyers in its first year of availability, but was selling at a budget price, unlike other releases on the list.

How Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be sold (+1.45 million copies in the last quarter) in the end is anyone’s guess.
