Thanks to the timely reaction, the American gamer managed to save her friend at a distance of more than 8,000 kilometers, according to the British publication Bbc.
A 17 year old North West resident named Aidan Jackson On January 2, he played video games online with his online girlfriend, a 20-year-old Texas resident. Dia Latoroywhen he had an attack.
“I just put on my headset and heard what I could only describe as a seizure, so obviously I started to worry and immediately began to ask what was happening and if it was okay,” Lator said in an interview with a local newspaper. “He did not answer, and I began to look for the emergency number for the European region. When this did not work, I could only hope that another service would respond.”
According to the BBC, Lator had Jackson’s address, although they had never met in person. From the US, she called law enforcement in the UK.
Local police arrived at Jackson’s astonished parents at 9:40 pm, about 40 minutes after the guy had an attack. Parents said they did not call anyone, but when the police explained that the call came from America, Jackson’s mother rushed upstairs to check on her son and found that he was helpless.
Earlier, Aidan Jackson was already experiencing an attack in May 2019, reports the BBC. He suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, as well as Asperger Syndrome.
Jackson’s parents expressed gratitude for Lator’s quick action.
“We are extremely grateful for what Dia did and are shocked that we might be on the ground floor and not know what was happening to him,” Jackson’s mother told BBC. “She had our address, but she didn’t have any contact numbers, so it was amazing that she managed to help at such a distance. I talked to her and expressed our gratitude – she’s just glad that she could help. Aiden is much better and I hope , everything will be in order, “said the guy’s mother.
