The American Consumer Product Safety Commission (CEC) shared some entertaining statistics about all kinds of injuries directly caused by or associated with video games in 2023.

In particular, the statistics included injuries from throws with controllers, seizures, falls from beds and chairs during the game, dizziness, nausea, pain in the neck, arms, chest, hands and fingers, and even a scorpion bite. In the last category, one case was recorded – a 15-year-old girl was sitting on the sofa and playing a game, and then suddenly felt pain in her buttocks – a scorpion climbed into her house, climbed onto the sofa and stung her.
