Back in early March, information appeared about new processors Intel Alder Lake-S with the LGA 1700 socket. True, then they talked more about their layout than about other aspects. But now, according to the resource Techpowerup, it became known much more about new products.
In particular, slides appeared that mention it, and judging by them, the processor may be released this year. I must say that this seems unlikely, because Intel Alder Lake-S uses its own socket, and not LGA 1200. It is unlikely that the company will decide to simultaneously release two solutions in parallel.
Be that as it may, Alder Lake-S processors are 10-nanometer products. But they are also built on the layout of big.LITTLE. Most likely, their field of application will be mobile devices, where it is important to flexibly adjust energy consumption.
Note that previously reported a change in Microsoft priorities in terms of OS Windows 10X. According to Zdnet, the company will not release dual-screen tablets in the near future. Instead, the new “ten” will be transferred to the classic 2-in-1 devices.
