A new generation of PC graphics is getting closer: In the 3DMark database, they found an unknown NVIDIA graphics card more powerful than the RTX 2080 Ti

In the database 3Dmark unknown video card lit up NVIDIA GeForceproviding a 30 percent increase in performance in the Time Spy test compared to the current flagship RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition.

The test result is in the public domain – it was discovered by the editor of the HardwareLeaks resource under the nickname Rogame. If we were talking about an already released video card, then 3DMark most likely accurately determined its model. In this case, the benchmark results indicate only that they are NVIDIA GPUs based on architecture Ampere with a core frequency of 1935 MHz and memory at 6000 MHz. In the latter case, the indicator does not correspond to any of the usual known memory frequencies for GDDR6 and HBM2. For reference, for GDDR6 with a bandwidth of 14 and 16 Gbit / s, this parameter is 1750 and 2000 MHz, respectively, and for HBM2 with 2 Gbit / s – 1000 MHz.

This may be due to a “raw” driver, or incorrect operation of 3DMark software to determine the type of memory – it is assumed that GDDR6X will be used in the new flagship accelerators.

In any case, the video card was 30.9% more productive than the reference GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, which corresponds to the average power increase of 30% expected for the new generation of GeForce. Consequently, under an unknown accelerator it can hide RTX 3080 Ti or, as it is called by other sources, RTX 3090.
