A leak shows that new wallpapers and widgets may appear in iOS 14 – review

One of the features of Android has long been a system of widgets that can be placed anywhere. But in iOS, until recently, this was very bad, because there they were tightly fixed. Now now Apple intends to implement this in its OS, reports 9to5mac with a link to Dongle’s twitter account.

In the early build of iOS 14, mentions of this were discovered, and on Twitter posted a modified wallpaper settings panel. Among other changes there is the option “Appearance of the home screen”, which allows you to choose dynamic wallpapers only for the main screen.

The source claims that this opportunity may be part of something more. We are talking about full-fledged widgets. A feature called Avocado was found in iOS 14 code that is associated with the Springboard application. And it, in turn, controls the home screen on iOS.

And although there is no official confirmation from Cupertino yet, it is assumed that this feature will appear in the release. However, the company may cancel it before the fourteenth version of the system.
