Life is Strange: True Colors is developed by Deck Nine Games, the studio behind Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
The main character of the game is named Alex Chen, and she has long been hiding from everyone her “curse” – a supernatural ability to read and absorb strong feelings of other people, which appear to her in the form of multi-colored auras, and also to control them.
“When her brother dies – ostensibly in an accident – Alex has to master his own powers to find out the truth … and at the same time reveal the dark secrets of the small town,” – says the description.
At the press presentation, the authors noted that they were able to create a very complex character and a fascinating story that touches on topics such as friendship, family, the loss of loved ones and the search for oneself. Fans are promised a real “hurricane of emotions”.
- The game is set in the small American town of Haven Springs, whose dark secrets Alex will reveal in an attempt to find out the truth about the death of his brother Gabe. The decisions made by the players will affect both the heroine and the city itself.
- During the creation of Life is Strange: True Colors, the developers for the first time in the history of the series fully filmed the actors in a motion capture studio. As a result, the game should go ahead of its predecessors in terms of animation. It’s also the prettiest part of Life is Strange.
- Great attention is paid to music. The developers use many works from artists such as mxmtoon and Novo Amor, Radiohead, Phoebe Bridgers, Gabrielle Aplin and others.
