A foreign postal service that sent letters was calculated and blocked in Russia

It became known that the FSB was able to calculate a foreign postal service, which in large quantities sent messages about the mining of Russian facilities.

The Russian Federal Security Service was able to find out that such messages came from Startmail, a foreign service located in the Netherlands. According to Gamebomb.ru, it is noted that from November 28, 2019 to the present, anonymous messages have been sent from this service to the e-mail of the judicial authorities, which spoke about the threats of mining. It is known that in false reports, unknown persons reported the mining of Russian schools, kindergartens, hospitals, subways, train stations, shopping centers and other things, RIA Novosti reports.

At the moment, the service has already been blocked by Roskomnadzor at the request of the Prosecutor General. Despite the fact that Startmail representatives did not provide Roskomnadzor with information about the mailboxes from which the letters arrived, the agency nevertheless believes that the owners of the service have nothing to do with mining reports. Roskomnadzor also understands that blocking Startmail will not prevent attackers from further disseminating this information. However, representatives of the department believe that this will at least reduce the scale of such actions.

According to Gamebomb.ru, Roskomnadzor said that in letters from the Startmail service, about 16 thousand different objects were mined.
