During his 28 years with Blizzard, Morheim says he has strived to create an environment that is conducive to everyone, regardless of gender or background. In fact, it did not work out so that people could safely tell the truth.
While Morheim admitted that harassment and discrimination are strong in the gaming industry, he always hoped that Blizzard was different in this regard. He admitted that he had let his former employees down and apologized to them.
I understand that these are just words, but I want to show support for women who survived this horror. I can hear you, I believe you, and I am very sorry that I let you down. If you are ready to share your stories, I am ready to listen to them. As one of the influencers in our industry, I can and will use this influence to drive positive change and fight misogyny, discrimination and harassment wherever possible.

Previously, the situation at Blizzard was called alarming by the current president, Jay Allen Brack. He assured that a lot has been done in recent years to maintain equality, inclusiveness and combat discrimination of any kind.
