On July 6, the submission of entries for the Summer 2023 Call to Arms competition ended, in which fans created custom sets for Dota 2. Now the authors began to share the resulting skins on reddit. Among them are unusual sets for Rubick, Meepo, Pangolier and other heroes.

One of the users created a set for Phantom Assassin, which turns the hero into a warrior, similar to the Greek hoplite. The artist, ROCKETARTS, expanded the Tinker rocket launcher into a full-fledged robot behind the character’s back. Through the efforts of fans, Pangolier got a new job and got a job in a barbershop, acquiring the appropriate tools. Users presented two heroes at once in the form of pirates – Ogre Magi and Meepo. At the same time, both characters have a treasure chest behind them. One of the most popular custom skins on reddit is the Rubick Nutcracker Kit – a mousetrap, drums, and horse-headed cane included.
In 2023, Valve did not limit the set creators for the Call to Arms summer treasure to a specific theme. The best designs from the community will subsequently become available in the game, the decision will be made by Valve. At the same time, the developers asked the community to mark the works they liked in the Workshop so that the opinion of the majority could be taken into account.
