The Cinema Foundation has presented a list of 10 films of the leaders of the domestic film industry, which will receive production support. Among the applications was a film adaptation “Metro 2033”, which was left without the support of the Cinema Fund.
Twenty years after the nuclear apocalypse, the last survivors are hiding in the tunnels of the Moscow metro, the largest anti-nuclear bomb shelter on earth. Artyom, a twenty-year-old guy from VDNKh, has to go through a dangerous path through the entire metro to save not only his native station, but also to warn humanity about a new deadly threat.
Recall that the screenplay is being directed by the author of the novel Dmitry Glukhovsky, and the director’s chair was taken by Yegor Baranov (“Outpost”). Previously, the painting was postponed for two years – from January 1, 2023 to January 1, 2024.
