Until the 6th season, Nation Z was a fairly serious zombie series interspersed with trash. Then everything changed and it became super carbon monoxide trash with occasional serious moments. At the same time, this has always been a series about zombies, in contrast to the stifling Dead Walkers, where 85% of the time we see the characters suffering **. And the characters there are all dreary and completely memorable, unlike the Nation, where all the characters are +/- gorgeous.
Black Summer is a full-fledged prequel to the Nation. Absolutely serious and completely devoid of trash elements. A couple of characters are interesting, but not revealed, possibly due to the fact that the first season was seriously cut and the second season was in question. The action is good. And the atmosphere of everyone’s fucking was conveyed almost at the level of 28 days later.
Let’s see what happens with the second season. If it is, at least, not worse than the first, then this is already a success.
