Developers Life is Strange: True Colors showed the opening scene with Alex, where special attention was paid to facial animation – for the first time in the series, it is not done manually, but using motion capture.
The scene reveals the heroine’s past and shows the girl’s various emotions – it all looks organic and natural.
In the first Life is Strange, for example, there were big problems with the correspondence of what was said and facial expressions – apparently, that’s why the original and Before the Storm decided to modernize, releasing updated versions with new facial animation and other innovations.
Life is Strange: True Colors is out September 10 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC.
