In an official press release, circulated through the media, Demon Skin is called “the darkest and most hardcore game published by the publisher in many years.”
“Demon Skin is a brutal Hack & Slash set in the harsh world of dark fantasy, combining the true spirit of Souls-like games, unique combat mechanics, RPG elements, fighting games and even platforming! The seven-year process of creating Demon Skin from the inception of the project idea to the completion of development was no less hardcore than the game itself. “
The plot is as follows:
“In a world where darkness has penetrated even the most distant corners of the universe, only Wanderers can resist it – members of a powerful order who fight against Evil and possess superhuman divine power. One of the Wanderers witnesses a sinister ritual to restore a powerful ancient artifact. Trying to interrupt the ritual, he falls into a stream of energy released by the artifact and instantly turns into a demon! The wanderer wants to regain his former appearance, but for this he needs an artifact, and it is stolen. The hero has to find it, having defeated many enemies along the way …
As noted by the publisher, Demon Skin Development Lead Denis Listov aspired to create “the game of your dreams”. In the process, he “mastered programming and graphics from scratch, went through two crowdfunding campaigns, a change of team and investors, a rebranding and the game’s transition from 2D to 3D.”
“Everyone told me that if I want to do something, I have to learn everything myself. Seriously master programming, animation and other aspects. But in development there are still other problems that need to be solved. Of course, you could start with something- it’s simpler. But I had only this game in my head! ”Listov noted.
The developers promise a multifaceted combat system, branched pumping, dozens of types of enemies, an impressive arsenal for destroying monsters, many secrets and gloomy landscapes. More details can be found on Steam…
