On consoles, the game will be released on April 1 at 00:00 Moscow time, and on PC – on April 1 at 19:00 Moscow time. However, preloading has already started on Xbox (including the version for Game pass), will begin 48 hours before the PlayStation release and may appear in Steam next week. IN EGS preloading is not possible.
The authors note that compared to the last build of the demo, the full version of the players will have bug fixes, balance changes and various improvements, including improvements to the cover system, and crossplay will be enabled by default.
After the release, Outriders are planning to support them with patches (several of them are already being tested). In the patch of the first day, the authors will fix bugs, improve the performance and work of the camera in videos and dialogues.
A future update, for example, will add more controller customization options and speed up downloads on Xbox One and PS4. Also, the authors have already returned the legendary items lost due to an error to the players.
As for the cheating policy. When the Outriders demo hit the 2 million player mark, the authors found 200 cheaters (0.01%). One player even made himself a 600 legendary weapon.
All accounts will be checked for cheats on the day of release. Then there will be regular checks. Consequences of using cheats:
- The consequences apply to the account, not the characters.
- Cheaters will not be able to play alongside honest players.
- Matching players will take much longer.
- Cheaters can still play alone.
- In the future, an invisible but visible watermark will be applied to the cheater’s interface. With its help, it will be possible to easily identify the cheater’s gameplay.
At the same time, the developers gave the cheaters of the demo a second chance. To enter the main game without consequences, they must remove all characters and items on their account, and must not carry over any progress from the demo to the main game.
