Try Hundreds of Future Games for Free: Winter Game Festival Started on Steam

In the digital distribution service Steam Winter Games Festival has started. Over the next six days, platform users can personally rate over 500 demos of future novelties… Mostly we are talking about games from small studios and talented enthusiasts.

To make it easier for players to understand all the variety of projects presented, there are several sections on the festival page that select demos based on the list of desired ones and the user’s game history, and there is also a filter by genre. There you can also follow the schedule of upcoming broadcasts with the developers.

Here is just a small selection of what demos are available during the festival:

  • SkateBIRD – a skateboarding simulator with a small skater bird;

  • Ashwalkers – a survival simulator from one of the creators of Life is Strange, Herve Bonin and his new studio;

  • Roguebook – A roguelike card game being developed by Magic: The Gathering creator Richard Garfield.

  • Genesis noir – Noir adventure, gameplay based on tactile puzzles and exploration;

  • Aerial Knight’s Never Yield – futuristic survival runner in cyberpunk Detroit;

  • Children of Silentown – a dark adventure game with beautiful hand-drawn graphics from the creators of Little Briar Rose;

  • Gal * Gun Returns – a hybrid of a shooter and a dating simulator in the anime style;

  • Happy game – A new psychedelic horror adventure from the studio Amanita Design, responsible for Botanicula, Chuchel, Samorost and other games;

  • Graven – the spiritual successor of the Hexen shooter with the addition of elements of an immersive simulator;

  • Dream Engines: Nomad Cities is a sci-fi city-building game set in a post-apocalyptic world teeming with nightmares;

The event will run until February 9th.
