In the owner community Playstation 5 another problem is being discussed. We are talking about black spots and stripes that appeared on the white panels of some users’ consoles after several days of use.
As a result, the panels look dirty, and even special detergents do not help get rid of stains in some cases.
The players started talking about the problem on the Reddit forum. Some commentators reacted to these messages in a joking manner, while others made quite reasonable assumptions about the nature of the appearance of dirt.
Some believe that the dark spots may have formed on the PlayStation 5 due to the console fans’ soaking up smoke and burn from scented candles or other sources of combustion that were in the premises of the users who encountered the problem. Overheating of the console is also called the cause of dark plaque. The fact is that some of the panels get dirty directly from the inside:

It is reported that some players, whose console was covered with a dark coating, managed to get new side panels from Sony, but this happened after one or more failures. People do not understand the cause of the dirt because the rest of the equipment in their rooms does not deteriorate.
There are also players who have managed to wash the dirt and remove the stripes from the hull.
Sony did not officially comment on the situation.
