Some users Playstation 5 found that the system prevents them from posting to Twitter if it contains profanity. In this case, even if all obscene words are removed from the initially “controversial” text, the console will still not allow publishing. The latter is probably a bug.
An example of the strange work of the word filter shared Twitter user Patrick Bejawho tried to post with his positive feedback about the platform pre-installed on the console Astro’s Playroom…
He showed a screenshot of his text, which the system refused to “skip”, allegedly due to the presence of profanity in it, although it is not there.
The limitation caused confusion among users. The fact is that the social network Twitter itself permits the publication of profanity (and even materials of an explicit erotic nature) to its audience. In this case, PlayStation 5 is just another platform with which you can post messages, that is, it is on a par with Windows, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, iOS, Android and others. Why then Sony censors words is not entirely clear. This is not at all about children’s accounts.
